[September 19, 2021] EPC Sunday Sermon Reflection Questions

  1. Paul defines Timothy's humility as his "genuine concern for others". What obstacles stand in your way when it comes to humbly loving others in your family, community, church, etc. and what are some practical ways in which we can submit to Christ in our genuine concern for others?
  2. Epaphroditus' example of serving in love and humility comes at great cost and suffering. We see his example of love shown in its greatest form in Jesus on the cross. How do you weigh and measure your conviction to love others in humility when it comes to how much it will cost you in terms of time, suffering, hardship, etc.? How can we grow in obedience to Christ in this?
  3. Humility in loving action is the theme of Paul's example of servanthood. Who can you see loving others in this manner? Can you identify people in your life that you can better obey Christ in loving and encouraging them in the Gospel model of humility?
  4. What stood out to you in today's message? Did you have any questions?
