[March 19, 2023] Sunday Sermon Reflection Questions

Series: The Good News
"Foundational Faith in Grace"
Ephesians 2:1-10

  1. A genuine faith in God's grace for us requires that we turn away from our past life of sins.  Christ does not require that we be "perfect", but He does call us to mature in all faithfulness.  What sins do you struggle with from your "past life" and how are you seeking in daily confession and repentance to turn away from them?
  2. The Apostle Paul makes a repeated effort to remind us that we are saved and redeemed by the free gift of God's grace, not by our own actions.  When it comes to you day-to-day faith walk, are you more grateful and dependent on the grace of God or of earning your right to be saved by your own actions?
  3. Paul reminds us that in our redemption, we are called to do "good works" (aka: Godly living).  What are the things and ways that God has gifted and given you a passion for and how are you growing in faithful excellence in practicing these things?
