[December 10, 2023] EPC Sunday Sermon Reflection Questions

Series: Discipleship
"A Disciples Does All Things in God's Grace"
John 15:1-11

  1. Jesus points out that as He is the vine, as branches connected to Him, all things are done out of Christ, not just "Christian" things.  How much of our lives are truly defined and led by Christ as Lord?
  2. Jesus reminds us in verse 3 that, "Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you."  He means that we are justified and saved by the Good News of who Jesus is and what He alone has done for us.  Because of Jesus we are not only saved with no need to prove ourselves, but also free to join Him as He calls us.  How does His reminder of our redemption encourage and shape you in life?
  3. It's mentioned a couple times that as branches who are bound in Christ, we are not only living in Him, but we are to "bear fruit".  What does a life that "bears" fruit in Jesus as His disciple look like?  How can we practically seek after this in the freedom of the Good News?
