[November 7, 2021] EPC Sunday Sermon Reflection Questions

[November 7, 2021] EPC Sunday Sermon Reflection Questions

1. Psalm 1 reminds us that a faithful Christian who seeks to live in the righteousness of Jesus is one who "delights" in God's Word.
a. What does it mean to "delight" in something and how does this compare to how you see God's Word in your life?
b. How can we respond in humble obedience to turn our delight for God's Word into growing discipline?
2. Christ is the One who feeds and sustains us in all things as we are "planted" in Him. The grace of putting our roots in Jesus is that He redeems and sanctifies us by His work and love rather than us "saving ourselves" by our own effort. Are you planted in Christ in seeking to live out of His Word, love, righteousness, joy, etc.?
3. There is no middle ground when it comes to Christ and the Gospel. We are either planted in Christ and living as His disciples or in line with the wicked. How does this challenge you to look at how you see your "Christian life" alongside the rest of your life "outside" of the Gospel in Christ as Lord over you?
4. What stood out to you in today's message? Did you have any questions?
