[August 22, 2021] EPC Sunday Sermon Reflection Questions

  1. How do you respond to Paul's attitude of joy in that even in his suffering and imprisonment, he holds to the priority of God's glory and Gospel over himself?
Is this act of faithful joy and discipline something that you hold onto in your life? Why or why not?
  2. Have you had hardships in your life where you can see how God used them for His glory and your blessing? How does His faithfulness foster a deepening sense of trust in His love for us?
  3. "We are second to Christ" is at the crux of today's message. How do you respond to this today in not only our understanding of it, but in how we are called to live with Christ as Lord? What changes?
  4. In Christ, we are not buried into death and defeat, but planted to rise with Christ. This is the hope and power of the Gospel for us. What are some ways that we can not only trust in this, but also to point others to Christ in our attitude, words, actions, etc.?
  5. What stood out to you in today's message? Did you have any questions come up?
